Shaping students’ awareness of soft business skills

  • Scope: Shaping students’ awareness and understanding about soft business skills
  • Client: Reading College

Employability Town attends the Student Conference “Succestival” at Reading College to answer students’ questions on soft business skills necessary to move into the world of employment.

This year’s Student Conference at Reading College was brilliantly organized as a mock festival which revolved around the barriers young people face on entering the world of employment and the best ways to over-come these barriers.

During the Sucesstival Employability Town had a chance to give a short speech on what soft business skills are and why they are important in the world of work.  We also had a chance to mingle with students and answer their specific employability questions.

Employability Town truly believes that shaping students’ awareness and understanding about soft business skills is the first step for young people to develop their professional potential.  Succestival is a great example of an event where in a friendly and fun atmosphere students were able to not only to engage with local employers and specialists but also to brainstorm some excellent ideas on developing their soft business skills.  We are very pleased that we had a chance to take part into it.
