Employability Town provides online training set up to provide young people the opportunity to develop essential work related soft skills required by employers.
The website – set out as a map of a town – is packed with fun exercises, interactive games, valuable expert advice and case studies of young people. Each building is a course covering a specific topic on soft skills. The portal also includes a forum for student interaction and Town Hall for networking with experts.
By completing the exercises in each course, young people can shape awareness and understanding of their employability skills while still being in education which in turn should help them to find and sustain employment in the future.
The website can be used by young people directly or by teachers to enhance classroom learning by integrating the courses with employability tutorials and by setting as homework.
The portal provides reporting so teachers can monitor and grade the progress of their students.
