Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is the European exchange programme for entrepreneurs across Europe.
Employability Town is proud to be one of the local contact points in London helping aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners and SMEs to participate in this innovative cross-border collaboration.
Are you thinking of starting your own business, or have you recently done so?
Or perhaps you are already running a successful business and would like to expand it to new markets, or get fresh ideas?
If the answer to any of the above questions is yes then Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is for you!
About the program
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is an EU-funded, innovative cross-border exchange that targets two type of entrepreneurs:
- New entrepreneurs, firmly planning to set up their own business or have already started within the last three years. The program allows new entrepreneurs to undertake a placement abroad for the duration of 1 to 6 months to acquire the skills needed to run a small business as well as test their ideas in practice within the industry.
- Experienced entrepreneurs who own or manage a Small or Medium-Sized Enterprise in one of the Participating Countries for more than 3 years. For business owners it is an opportunity to host within their business new entrepreneurs and therefore to share gained entrepreneurial experience, develop innovative products and services, access new skills and talent, and improve the growth of the company by establishing a partnership in other European markets and finally to increase visibility and prestige of the company through EU press coverage.
Please note that the program does not only apply to young people. “Young” in the context of this program refers to people who have little or no experience in entrepreneurship.
About our journey
All the processes within the programme are managed by Intermediary Organisations.
As one of these Intermediary Organisations, Employability Town, is a local point for London and surrounding countries and is at the disposal of all New Entrepreneurs and SMEs wishing to participate in the program.
Klaudia Mitura, the founder of Employability Town, tells the story behind their involvement in the program:
Our journey with the program started last year when along with other European organisations we applied for the opportunity to be the link between new entrepreneurs and SMEs. The criteria was tough and we invested a lot of time in preparing all necessary documents while collaborating closely with other European partners.
It is therefore a great success for us to be selected as one of the many intermediary organisations in Europe. We are very proud that through the program we contribute to stimulating entrepreneurship and encouraging cross-border trade in Europe. The project has immerse benefits to all parties involved and we are looking to share many of the success stories with our clients.
The project kicked off this February when we attended a Networking Event in Brussels. The event allowed us to network with other intermediary organisations, familiarize ourselves with the internal program requirements and engage with representatives of the European Commission.
